a valium a day keeps the spiders away?

too bad i don't have any valium. i do have lorazepam though... it's sort of the same thing.

i've seen three more spiders since i wrote last. the good thing about that is, i think my paralysing fear is diminishing - slightly. i can actually move away without screeching in terror and then (eventually) rationally find a shoe or something to whack them with. i think i need a fly swatter that i can use for general bug squashing. ewww....

i had so much to write about on the way to work this morning and now it's all gone. of course, right?

i went to a concert last night. sort of.
i met up with my friends and we made our way down to the opera house... i was excited because i've never been there to see a show. and also because i obviously wanted to see the artist - Yelle - perform. so, anyway.. i thought it was a good idea to just bring my essentials: ticket, keys, money, metro pass. uh huh. good, right? we got to the place and didn't have to wait too long in line... got to this woman that was checking id's. ID. Oh.. shit. I fucking forgot my ID. it was around 11pm at this point and she was supposed to go on at around 11:30. "Go home, get it and come back" ... yeah, right. I went home. did not go back. by the time i actually got back to my apartment it was 11:45. i could have taken a cab (considering i take them all the time) but particularly set against it last night. i had already paid $20 for the ticket, and am trying to save money these days... ? ..... so, i just stayed home when i got back. loser.

i'll think of something else clever and amusing to write and come back to you later. okay?
